I am offering smart workers the opportunity to earn a wage while gaining trade skills and experience that you need o make yourself a valuable local independent contract worker.
Current project is insulation installation.
Required skills and tasks.
- Setup ladders, ramps, jacks, lift scaffolding
- Ladder climbing and working over head.
- Load and unload construction materials
- Ability to measure accurately the first time.
- Must be able to cut different materials (insulation) using scissors and knife without ripping materials.
- Must be able to insert insulation in cavity without compressing the insulation, avoiding wall nail injuries.
- Must be able to identify possible air leaks and seal them using expanding and non-expanding foam sealers.
You should be aware of personal protective equipment (PPE) by now, but as a reminder.
- Safety glasses
- Long sleeve shirts
- Full length pants (no cutoffs for insulation)
- Work boots or shoes
- Work Gloves
Basic tools are expected and should include.
- Tool belt with pouch
- large scissors
- Razor knife with extra blades
- measuring tape
- square (Triangular or L type)
- Pencils, pens, markers
- headlamp or flashlight
Education: GED / High School / Vocational School
