The EIDL Grant Advance is not designed for everyone.
Many of you are treating the Economic Injury Disaster Emergency Grant assistance as a Stimulus check.

If all you need is the $1,000 Advance it would be better to call your congressional representatives and ask them to pass the bill that would pay you a $1,000 stimulus.

Economic Injury Disaster Loan Emergency Grant was originally designed to give businesses up to $10,000 ($1,000 per employee) in working capital so they could pay workers. It was called an emergency grant advance and the money would be distributed in 3 days and because it was based on your word, your self certification they issued it as a grant.

I believe this is where people see opportunity and are banking on no checks by the government.

I would like for you to simply follow the rules, policy and to stop trying to use a comment posted by someone in other parts of the world as your excuse to not think. Also we all know if you search long enough you will find the answer you like and accept it no matter if it's right or wrong.

If all you need is the grant then apply for the loan and don't accept the offer and/or don't sign the closing documents. It would speed up things for those that are experiencing economic injury for their business.

The EIDL application doesn't allow you to simply add friends, family, or a spouse that are not W2 employees as employees to collect $1,000 per person.

Creating more new EIN's doesn't give you the option to apply more times as self employed.

I didn't think I had to say this, but, "Don't use this group to defraud the US Taxpayers."
