Incident Period: Aug 26, 2021 and continuing.
Declaration Date: Aug 29, 2021
Quick Links
The following numbers change often, as of 9-7-2021 these are what is posted at the FEMA Louisiana Hurricane Ida DR-4611 page.
From this day forward you should have your cost of housing by percentage documented, your income tax filings to provide the information to calculate your Annual Median Income (AMI) if you are below 80% AMI or do not have an income high enough to have less than 30% of your total household income paying for housing costs (prior to disaster).
If you are between 80% and 100% AMI you should be careful to draw only the funds needed to rebuild. Do not use SBA or other lenders to make temporary repairs, these type of repairs will not qualify for any reimbursements. Temporary repairs will be funded by FEMA IA IHP grants but will be used as a duplication to other benefits if not used for temporary repairs to your home.
Flood Ready Workforce Development Program funded by 2016 flood grants pays for heavy equipment training.
Its not clear if you have to pay up front, complete the training then request reimbursement from the OCD-DRU who is using Homeowner grant funds to pay for the future of their coastal project labor pool. In any case, 2,000 isnt much for employment.
